It's a peculiarly Scandinavian thing, where the most is made of available daylight, but we think it sounds like a good idea for windows facing the garden or any kind of a view to take down heavy winter-y drapes and replace them with something lightweight, translucent and fresh.

Muslin is just the ticket - and some of the best can be found in Bang's interiors space above her Grafton Street clothing boutique.

She stocks gauzy muslin and linen curtains, similar to those on the right, some embroidered with dragonflies and some with small spots, while others are pleated. They cost €129 each measuring 2m in length, 170mm wide.
