Bertie stops off in Liberties to launch markets revamp

St Nicholas of Myra Parish Hall on Dublin's Francis Street is not the sort of place that usually inspires ritzy media invites, but such an invite landed on Around the Block's desk this week and not only that, it promises that the Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, will do the honours there next Monday. The parish hall party is to announce details of Martin Keane's massive development of the Iveagh Market into a flashy hotel and modernised markets area.
