The Co Meath horsetrack was once a regular spot for festivals, previously housing Witnness and Planetlove. This one-day festival with four stages boasts a hot-to-trot line-up with Nina Kraviz, the excellent Daniel Avery, Andhim, HNNY, Patrick Topping and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs catching the eye, as well as a galaxy of Irish acts and DJs. Anyone fearing a muddy day can relax as all stages will be located on tarmac.

Michael Janisch’s Paradigm Shift

US-born bassist Michael Janisch is not only the leader of this starry sextet, on a European tour to promote their new release, Paradigm Shift. He is also the founder of fertile London indy label Whirlwind, the source of some of the most listenable contemporary jazz on either side of the Atlantic. As well as his bass, he's travelling with a suitcase full of Whirlwind sampler CDs, and there's one for everyone in the audience.

It's obviously Boat Week for Irish clubland. Hidden Agenda go west for a bit of a do which starts out on the Corrib Princess as it sails up and down the river, before all involved head to the Electric Garden to see out the night.
