Veteran rockers Walter Becker and Donald Fagen claim that Owen Wilson's character in the comedy You, Me & Dupree - which they describe as "this summer stinkbomb" - was plagiarised from Cousin Dupree, their song about a layabout who sleeps on his aunt's couch and has a growing infatuation with his cousin.
On the band's website, Becker and Fagen posted an angry open letter to actor Luke Wilson, asking him to get his brother Owen to turn up on stage at their Orange County concert last week "and apologise to our fans for this travesty". Owen failed to show.
