What's in a name? The band formerly known as The Original Rudeboys (and now not to be confused with seminal electronic group The Orb) have streamlined their moniker, but their approach remains largely unchanged. Fans of the Dublin trio's 2012 debut will find more of the same to enjoy here, with added ultra-slick production (notable on the uplifting, brass-infused Feel It in Your Soul). Yet ORB's insistence on shoehorning rap verses into most of the songs is customarily clumsy and grating. Integral as he may be to their sound, Neddy Arkins's contribution to the likes of Gone Are the Days are at odds with Robert Burch's smooth, Americanised croon. The skitterish beat of Get Out is much more accommodating of both styles, but generally there's not much to salvage amid the musical cliches and lyrical platitudes. theoriginalrudeboys.com
