The DFA roster contains many crowd-pullers, but over the years it has also made room for less heralded adventurous souls, such as Delia Gonzalez.

The Miami- born performance artist has created idiosyncratic works in tandem with DFA regular Gavin Russom since 2003 under such monikers as Black Leotard Front.

In Remembrance came about as a series of piano scores composed for exhibitions of ballet dance films in Naples, Cologne and Zurich.

The music which was subsequently performed live at a New York showing by Bryce Hackford and Alice Cohen.

It’s a beautiful flicker of sounds, each of the four pieces slowly coaxing you closer to the speakers with its delicate textures and melancholic layers.

Each track has also been remixed and reworked by Hackford, who adds a range of effects and washes to to pull them deep into a leftfield space.
