Things are about to get really interesting for this Dublin-born producer. Having cut his teeth alongside Hudson Mohawke in the Scottish Heralds of Change and contributed to a slew of compilations (including All City's agenda-setting 7 x 7), Slott flexes his muscles and prepares for take-off with this micro-album.

Lucky 9Teen, a series of eight superbly produced snapshots, highlight Slott's winning way with skittery drums, moody strings and soulful ambience. The productions are tender and beautiful, aiming for the heart and head as well as the feet. Snow Birdand 40 Winx, in particular, are the work of a craftsman who is quietly carving out his own niche in the wonky hip-hop/ electronica universe.
