"Wake up, little seedling..." The heroes of Eufloriaare the tiniest of things. The object of this strange, beautiful little game is to distribute seedlings to colonise "asteroid pods" where they'll eventually grow into a tree and create floating seedlings of their own. The screen is attractive but simple; with minimal colours and sparse detail. Zoom into the asteroids, however, and you'll see roots taking hold and shoots emerging. It's surprisingly gratifying. Much of the challenge lies in distributing the right volume of seedlings – especially as they can be destroyed by "enemies". So Euforiafeels like a sci-fi cross between Flowerand a real-time strategy war game. Despite the conflict, Eufloriais gently seductive, almost meditative. The sumptuous, chiming ambient music helps too.
