Corrections and clarifications

The title of Fearann Pinn: filiocht 1900-1999, edited by Greagoir O Duill, was incorrect in the review in last Saturday's Books pages.

In the article on Oradour-sur-Glane in Monday's editions, several dates were given for the Nazi atrocity there. It took place on June 10th, 1944.

A report in yesterday's editions of a speech by the European Commission President, Mr Romano Prodi, omitted a reference to his wish to take the EU's High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy, Mr Javier Solana, under the Commission's wing. In doing so it erroneously gave the impression that Mr Prodi regarded all the provisions of the Amsterdam Treaty as "transitional" and not merely those relating to Mr Solana's role.

Tim O'Brien wrote From the South East in yesterday's editions, not Chris Dooley as stated.
