Joint Revenue and Garda operation recover 54kg of narcotic

Two men have been arrested after more than €1 million worth of cannabis was seized in Co Meath on Thursday.

This seizure of about 54kg of herbal cannabis was made as a result of a joint operation conducted by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, Meath Divisional Drugs Unit and Revenue’s Customs Service.

The men, both aged in their 30s, are being detained at a Garda station in Co Meath under section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
