Cork-based software firm WorkCompass.com has raised €650,000 in funding from angel investors and Enterprise Ireland to grow its business internationally.

The company’s solution helps businesses improve staff performance by 11 per cent on average, engaging staff more and helping companies become more competitive.

The funding will be used to grow the business on the international market.

“Over the past 16 months we have gained significant traction in the Irish market. We are now looking to foreign markets to continue our growth. This investment allows us achieve that,” said WorkCompass chief executive Denis Coleman.

UK initial focus

He said the company’s focus will initially be on the United Kingdom.

Michael Moriarty, manager of financial and enterprise software at Enterprise Ireland, said the international trading environment is very challenging for all companies but there are significant opportunities for new, export-orientated businesses.
