These days there's an app for everything, from the ones that make sense to have (your general organisational apps) to the ones that just make you laugh for no reason (looking at you, Talking Carl). Me2U falls into the former category. We've all had that moment where you realise you owe your friend a bit of cash, whether it's for concert tickets or last night's dinner, when you forgot your wallet again. Well, AIB has teamed up with Visa to offer a new way for you to pay your debts through your smartphone. You must be registered with AIB's internet or phone banking service, and have a smartphone or tablet to register for the service through the Me2U app. The recipient needs a Visa card of some description, whether icredit, debit or a prepaid version, to receive the payment. There's no need to share bank details or card numbers; everything is linked to your mobile phone. An end to the endless arguments over who owes who what?
