The beauty of the iPad and other tablets is that they lend themselves to to storytelling. This new app takes full advantage of that. Little Details falls into the interactive graphic novel category, presenting a game-like experience as you work your way through the pages. Created by Dublin-based Hola Margarita, the story follows Bella as she tries to trace the history behind an old photograph to find its owner. It's an original story that hooks you in; the interactive graphics are what keep you hanging around. With 60 pages of fantastic artwork and animations to get through, it isn't a quick skim. Finding out what touch interactions are available for each page is a rewarding experience. It's accompanied by a well-chosen soundtrack, adding a bit of atmosphere to the whole experience as you progress through the story and eventually reach its climax. Little Details brings the graphic novel into a whole new arena; it will be interesting to see where this goes next.
