Canadian firm OpenText to create 105 jobs in Cork

Company produces and distributes enterprise information management software products

Canadian software firm OpenText is to create up to 105 highly-skilled roles in Cork over the next two years.

The company, which produces and distributes enterprise information management software products, is to expand its global customer support centre to provide support for its flagship Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and Customer Experience Management (CEM) solutions.

As part of this, OpenText plans to recruit Technical Analysts with supporting language skills and senior management roles.

OpenText was established in 1991 and is headquartered in Ontario. OpenText is currently ranked as the number one Canadian software company and is ranked 305 on the Global Fortune 500 list. More than 100,000 customers use its products.

Cork met all of our requirements for expanding our business in the region: a strong talent pool, a growing technology ecosystem and supportive public partnership," said OpenText senior vice president of worldwide customer service, James McGourlay.

The investment is supported by the Government through IDA Ireland.
