Women on Air hoping to take off

Call for sponsorship for group that promotes getting more women on radio and TV

Corporates who allocate some of their publicity budget to sponsorship will soon have a new event to consider, with networking group Women on Air about to start knocking on inboxes in relation to its inaugural conference.

The event will be the voluntary group’s most forthright push yet towards its goal of getting more women on radio and television, particularly on the current affairs programmes that influence public policy.

Some funding will come from the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland, but more is likely to be needed.
