HMV to move to ex-Karen Millen store

HMV’s Grafton Street business is on the move again.

Since vacating its spacious shop on the street, it has been trading on a temporary basis in the former A Wear outlet on the opposite side of the street.

With that building shortly to get a facelift, including a new façade, the music retailer has opted to switch to the former Karen Millen shop which is now closed.

The premises is awaiting planning permission to change into three main retail floorplates with an overall floor area of 929sq m (10,000sq ft).

When that work is completed, Stephen Murray of JLL will set about finding a high-profile long-term trader for the premises.
