6th Sense Global Designs opens in Whitewater Shopping Centre

Retailer’s continuing expansion is indication of strong growth in the menswear sector

Irish menswear retailer 6th Sense Global Designs has opened a new flagship store in the Whitewater Shopping Centre in Newbridge.

The company, founded in 2007 by Dermot Fadden, designs and markets its own products in Ireland and the UK including to House of Fraser. The retail division headed by Cormac Ginty was established in 2010 and has stores in Newbridge, Limerick, Athlone, Clonmel and Portlaoise. The new outlet has an overall floor area of 330sq m (3,552sq ft) over two levels and is likely to have been rented at about €70,000 per annum.

Shane Cahir of CBRE, who acts for the tenant, said that while retail sales had been improving, the menswear sector had shown particularly strong growth.
