In April, Pinterest’s workplace team opened the doors to a new office location on Dawson Street in Dublin 2, home to its EMEA headquarters. From a Pinterest board to opening day, the workplace design and construction team intentionally designed this new office space to inspire collaboration and creativity while incorporating elements from Ireland’s rich culture. Explore five work spaces and get to know the new Pinterest Dublin.
All Hands
Inspired by manor houses of the Irish countryside, the All Hands area features details such as a coffered ceiling, decorative mouldings and an electric mix of furniture to celebrate the traditional style of these homes. The audio and visual wall is adorned with a twist of the “Pin Grid,” which features embroidered and tufted “Pin” panels. The display screen is highlighted with a gilded frame so that it resembles a painting that would hang above a fireplace in the home.
The Celtic Forest
The Celtic Forest brings an ancient forest into the modern office. Filled with nature elements and sounds of the weather (that actually sync with the weather outside), Pinterest employees have the opportunity to work, focus and collaborate in this immersive experience. This area features workstations in different configurations and ancillary furniture that support a variety of ways to work.
The Pub (with the Snug)
Traditionally the social hub of the community, here the Pub has been reimagined as part of the “Stormy Seas” of Ireland, complete with nautical nods, traditional painted panelling and a “stormy” colour palette. The central area features a group of cosy booths with nautical themed lights above. The walls of the pub are adorned with an eclectic mix of marine objects, including an illuminated diorama of an underwater scene.

The Pub wouldn’t be complete without a snug! This snug includes gaming options for Pinterest employees, with walls that include sailor tattoo inspired graphics.
The Long Hall
This quiet corner away from the busy hubbub of the office takes its inspiration from the nearby Trinity College library. Shelving with arching details and carved corbels provide reading nooks which can be used as heads-down working spaces. The hidden room off the library is a black and white graphic representation of a livingroom with Celtic designs inspired by illustrations from the Book of Kells.
Focus Rooms
The Dublin office includes a multitude of non-bookable, drop-in spaces to support employees throughout the day. Depending on their location along the journey through Ireland, each focus room is designed with its own personality.
