Our Gifts of Love are hugely popular at Christmastime and give people the chance to not only buy a special gift for a loved one but also make a lasting difference to communities at risk around the world. From only €5, people can choose to send a gift that will change someone’s life.
Since their launch, the generous Irish public has bought more than one million life-changing Gifts of Love, supporting some of the most vulnerable families around the world. More and more people want to give ethical, sustainable gifts that are meaningful, practical and which support the critical work needed to combat the challenging facing communities at risk around the world. From supporting climate change initiatives to the rights of women and girls around the world, our gift range offers something to suit everyone’s interests.
This year we have a collection of 23 gifts ranging from €5 for a Gift of Soap to €1,000 for the Fix a Well Gift. Returning are such ever-popular gifts as the Gift of Chicks (€8), which provides a cluster of chicks for a family that will grow up to produce eggs to sell in the local market. Also available is the Gift of School Lunches (€20), which provides a nutritious meal every school day for children in countries such as Somalia.
This Christmas we are launching two new gifts that we are sure will resonate with people.
‘I have to believe that this situation is not forever’: stress mounts in homeless parents and children living in claustrophobic one-room accommodation

Getting solid legal advice early in your company’s journey is invaluable
The first is our Winter Essentials Gift (€25), which provides items such as warm boots and blankets to Syrian refugees living in freezing conditions in tent-like structures in Lebanese refugee camps.
The second new gift is a Family Food Basket (€35) to support families of malnourished children in the Horn of Africa, including Somalia, where climate change-driven drought has left hundreds of thousands of people hungry. This gift contains a months’ supply of high nourishment food to help nurse infants back to health.
Other gifts include the Menstrual Dignity Gift (€10) to help young women and girls combat period poverty that often sees them missing school and work. We also have a Mental Health Lifeline Gift (€50), which provides practical support for women and children traumatised by the ongoing conflict in places like Gaza.
These gifts make wonderful presents and stocking fillers that show great thought and care. The purchaser receives a gift card and envelope for each gift purchased that can be personalised before sending on to the recipient. 91 cent from each gift sold goes directly to our life-changing work around the world, so you can be sure that your kind choice of gift is having a real impact.
We have found that along with the nature of the gifts themselves, what people really appreciate is that they are sourced locally in the countries where they are needed. This means that the gifts not only improve the lives of the families and communities that receive them, but also benefit the local businesses and farmers that supply them. It also means that the gifts are sustainable and ethical and have a reduced carbon footprint.
