BRIAN CODY has been reappointed as manager of the Kilkenny senior hurling team.

Cody will take charge of the Cats for the 14th season after his appointment was ratified at a meeting of the Kilkenny County Board last night. He will be joined once again by selectors Martin Fogarty and Michael Dempsey.

First named as manager in 1999, Cody has guided Kilkenny to eight All-Ireland senior hurling titles in that time, including four in a row from 2006 to 2009.

Kilkenny have also won 12 Leinster and five NHL crowns in that period.
