The Waterford search and rescue Alouette helicopter rescued a woman from Ballymoney beach in Co Wexford yesterday after she fell 20 feet and seriously injured her back. The 30-year-old woman fell from a cliff overlooking the beach at 3.25 p.m. She was attended on the beach by a doctor and flown to St Vincent's Hospital, Dublin, where she was recovering last night.
