Police investigating the discovery of a woman's body in Belfast early yesterday morning have issued a public appeal through the Garda for the public's help in tracing a man they believe may be able to help with their enquiries.

Ms Geraldine Kane was found dead in suspicious circumstances at Cavendish Square, west Belfast, shortly after midnight yesterday.

The PSNI are keen to locate Mr Thomas Graham (42), from West Belfast.  He is believed to have been driving a blue Proton car, registration number DAZ 1960, and to have travelled towards Newry.

A statement said the police believe Mr Graham may be in a distressed state and are very concerned for his well being and safety.
