Frankfurt - The newly crowned Nobel laureate, Gunter Grass (71), was given a hero's welcome by adoring fans when he appeared yesterday at the world's biggest book fair in Frankfurt.
A week after winning the Nobel Prize for Literature, the seasoned left-wing campaigner was ready to aim his barbs at everyone from literary critics to the former finance minister, Mr Oskar Lafontaine.
