Colombo - Sri Lanka's suspended parliament will be recalled on Thursday as part of a deal with a radical Marxist party to form an interim coalition to keep the country's minority government in power, state radio said yesterday.

It said parliamentary members of President Chandrika Kumaratunga's People's Alliance (PA) had approved the recalling of parliament and the cancellation of a referendum on constitutional reform as demanded by the Marxist People's Liberation Front.
