A Co Monaghan man who jumped bail almost 14 years ago was further remanded by the Special Criminal Court in Dublin yesterday

A Co Monaghan man who jumped bail almost 14 years ago was further remanded by the Special Criminal Court in Dublin yesterday. Mr James Ginley (42), from Tully, Co Monaghan, surrendered himself to gardai last month and was arrested on a warrant issued by the court in October 1982.

Mr Ginley had been due to stand trial in the Special Criminal Court in October 1982 for IRA membership and possession of explosive substances with intent to endanger life at Shankill, Smithboro, Co Monaghan, on October 25th, 1981.

The court remanded Mr Ginley on continuing bail until March 26th for arraignment then.
