The Irish Times Debate 2022 Final
The 62nd event took place this year in University College Cork on Friday, March 11th. The Irish Times Debate is the pre-eminent debating competition for third level students in Ireland. From the starting field of competitor, three emerged as overall winners of the Demosthenes Trophy for best team speakers, Ross Merriman and Conor White from SADSI, and the Christina Murphy Memorial Trophy for the best individual speaker which was won by Bevin Armstrong from UCD LawSoc.

Storm Chandra: Floods devastate parts of Ireland and cause commuter chaos
Dozens of homes and businesses in Wexford, Dublin and Wicklow were damaged in significant flooding that also caused serious disruption to road, rail and air travel following a deluge of rain during Storm Chandra on Tuesday.
