Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein conceded today Patrick Vieira will get a move away from Highbury if he proves "difficult".
Dein is confident the French midfielder will honour his contract and stay at Arsenal, who are on course for the "double" this season but is concerned by the influence of Vieira's agent, Marc Roger.
He plans summer talks with Vieira and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, and told the Daily Express: "If a player wants to be difficult, invariably he gets his move, but we don't want that to happen.
"Patrick is under contract and we expect him to honour that. There will be a conversation with Arsene and Patrick, and I am confident the player will stay with us, but you cannot say 100 per cent".
Vieira has been linked with Champions League semi-finalists Real Madrid. Dein said: "The problems begin when offers are made to top players who are coveted by the most glamorous clubs in the world.
"We do not want Patrick to leave, but we know who is continually trying to move him on. If we aim to win the Premiership and the Champions League we don't want to sell our best players."
Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood said: "When we signed Vieira, his agent, Marc Roger, blatantly told us that he would get him away from us before the end of his contract. I was hoping he was joking, but he was not".
