The US international company Xerox is believed to have paid about £5.5 million for the former Claris Corporation plant at Ballycoolin Industrial Estate in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, where it is to locate its new services and customer-support operation. The 71,000 sq ft building, regarded as one of the best production plants in Dublin, stands on a nine-acre site.Xerox is understood to have bought an adjoining 11 acres from the IDA for around £2 million. About 800 people are to be employed in Ballycoolin and a further 2,200 in Dundalk, where a strategic centre for Europe is to be set up.Hamilton Osborne King acted for Claris and DTZ Sherry Fitzgerald advised Xerox.
