Taxation and the recent Finance Bill are explained in two easy-to-follow booklets published recently by PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Tax Facts 1999/2000 covers some of the basics of taxation: income tax, employee taxation, interest, pay related social insurance (PRSI), pension schemes, corporation tax, capital allowances, urban renewal, capital gains tax, capital acquisitions tax, value added tax, customs and excise, stamp duty, tax treaties and fixed euro exchange rates. The second guide explores recent changes in the Finance Bill relating to personal tax, property, business tax and pensions.
