ATHENRY regained the crown which they relinquished to Sarsfields last year when impressively defeating Carnmore by 2-6 to 1-6 at Kenny Park, Athenry yesterday.
Carnmore got their goal as early as the fourth minute, but Athenry led at half-time by 1-4 to 1-0. It was only in the last 10 minutes that Carnmore hit scoring form.
