SEAN CONNOR heads back to the Showgrounds this evening in the hope of seeing his Galway United side build on last week's narrow win over Bray Wanderers with a more sustained performance against his former side, writes Emmet Malone.

The United boss admits that his players were “hanging on” a little towards the end as Bray fought back from 2-0 down but couldnt quite do enough to salvage a draw.

“If we play the way we did in the first 35 minutes, though, we’ll make life difficult enough for them, though,” he says.

The visitors have Stephen O’Donnell back from suspension but newly-signed striker Anto Flood must serve a ban carried over from last year while Alan Murphy is still some way off full fitness.

The hosts, meanwhile, have a full squad to choose from with Conor O’Grady and Mark Donninger pushing for a place in Paul Cook’s starting line up after proving their fitness in recent days.

Foster is without Alan Cawley who faces surgery on a triple fracture to his cheekbone on Monday while Michael O’Neill has James Chambers and Danny Murphy suspended as well as Gary Twigg and Dessie Baker out injured going into the game.

The Dubliners are still looking for their first win and while O’Neill insists that they musn’t become too worked up about the situation after just two games, he’ll be glad to have Aidan Price and Pat Sullivan available again.
