London - the Irish band Westlife has secured the first No 1 single in Britain of the new millennium. The Irish band held on to the top spot after obtaining the last No 1 single of the century in last week's charts, with I Have A Dream/Seasons In The Sun.
Sir Cliff Richard's Millennium Prayer took a tumble after seven weeks in the charts and plummeted to eighth place when it was knocked off the No 2 slot by S Club 7's Two in a Million/You're My Number One.
