Two men arrested in connection with events surrounding the murder of a Catholic community worker and attempted murder of another man in Coleraine, Co Derry, last May have been released.
Kevin McDaid (49), a father-of-four, was beaten to death close to his home in Somerset Drive by a loyalist mob that stormed the area after Rangers beat Celtic to the Scottish Premiership title.
The two men were arrested in the Coleraine area yesterday morning in relation to events surrounding Mr McDaid's death in May, rather than the killing itself, the PSNI said.
Police have already charged 11 people in connection with the killing - seven of them with murder. There have been constant claims of threats against witnesses, and last month the High Court in Belfast was told that more than 20 people are under death threats.
Damien Fleming (46) was critically injured in the same attack as Mr McDaid. He has since been beaten up a second time.
