A suspect device has been discovered under a car in Dublin's south inner city.
The device was found under a vehicle parked in the Dolphin House flats complex in Rialto earlier today.
Tensions have been high in the area recently after gardaí moved to prevent drug users from other parts of the capital entering the housing estate to buy heroin an cocaine.
While large sections of the community are supportive of the anti-drugs operation in and around the complex, a number of dealers are believed to be intent on intimidating residents who support the Garda patrolling.
In April, up to 20 cars were badly damaged in the area, with many vehicles scratched, while tyres were also slashed.
That same month, the entire Dolphin House complex had to be evacuated after a hoax pipe-bomb was located outside a community centre in nearby Dolphin's Barn, where a meeting to discuss intimidation, drug-dealing and anti-social behaviour, had just got under way.
