Algiers - The Algerian Interior Minister, Mr Yazid Zerhouni, said yesterday that 80 per cent of the country's Muslim guerrillas had surrendered to the government under an amnesty which expired six days ago.

He said government forces would launch military operations to flush out the remaining rebels who rejected the six-month-old amnesty enacted on July 13th.
