An action for damages by a Co Laois man who contracted polio after his infant daughter received the oral polio vaccine has been adjourned at the High Court to January 29th. Mr Anthony Blanche (42), of Ballybrittas, who was never vaccinated for polio, alleges negligence against the Midland Health Board and Dr Fergus McKeagney, with a practice at Main Street, Portarlington. The defendants deny negligence.
