Man hospitalised following Clare stabbing

A 21 year old man is recovering in hospital after a stabbing incident in Kilrush last night

A 21 year old man is recovering in hospital after a stabbing incident in Kilrush last night. The man was removed to Ennis General Hospital at 10.40pm  after he was assaulted on John Street, Kilrush.

It is understood he sustained two stab wounds to the chest in the attack.

He was subsequently transferred to Limerick Regional Hospital where his condition is described as stable.

Gardaí interviewed a number of people at the scene and say they are following a definite line of enquiry.
