London - Police have raised fresh hopes that the killers of Stephen Lawrence could still yet be caught after a huge public response to Thursday night's broadcast of TV interviews with the five main suspects in the case.

Commander John Grieve, head of the Metropolitan Police race and violent crimes task force, told the BBC yesterday that calls had revealed "two more nuggets of gold" for the police, in addition to a new line of inquiry disclosed by the programme.
