The Minister for the Marine, Mr Fahey, is to give £2 million to support conservation of fish stocks on rivers, writes Lorna Siggins. The grant is in addition to £2 million given last year by the Minister. It will support a national programme which was initiated in Dublin yesterday by Mr Fahey, with the Central and Regional Fisheries Boards. The programme is based on experience from six pilot projects already in place.
