The European Commission said the deadline for its inquiry into the proposed acquisition of Irish flag carrier Aer Lingus by rival Ryanair has been set for December 6th.
Ryanair Holdings said on October 23rd it had posted the offer document outlining its €1.48 billion bid for Aer Lingus.
Ryanair holds a 19.2 per cent stake in the flag carrier. The Government holds 28 per cent of Aer Lingus and the airline's employees hold 15 per cent.
