The European Commission will propose legislation fining airlines for overbooking, a German magazine has reported.

magazine said in an article to be published in this week's edition that the EU would propose a fine of at least 750 euros per overbooked passenger, or some 1,500 euros for overbooked passengers on flights of more than 3,500 kilometres.
