MR Brendan Woolhead, the Dublin man who was injured in the IRA bomb explosion on board a London bus in February last, has died after an asthma attack.

Mr Woolhead (33), who was in London looking for work, was on the bus when a bomb, carried by an IRA member, Ed O'Brien, exploded near Aldwych in central London.

He suffered a fractured skull and pelvic injuries, but appeared to have made a good recovery. Altogether, 30 people were injured in the explosion.

Mr Woolhead, who came from Finglas and had a four year old son, died after the asthma attack on Thursday.
