The RUC has said it is investigating an alleged attempt to poison convicted loyalist paramilitary leader, Johnny Adair. An RUC spokeswoman said the inquiry began after they had been notified by the Northern Ireland Prison Service of forensic tests which showed a drink, bought by Adair inside Maghaberry Prison, had been contaminated.
