APPLICATIONS

Location: Glendruid and Knockenree, Brennanstown Road, Lehaunstown Lane, Cabinteely, Dublin 18. Proposed development: demolish glasshouse to courtyard wall and Knockenree House on the west side of the site for a residential development of 173 units (107 apartments and 12 duplexes in three blocks of two to eight storeys over two basement levels, 48 three-bed two-storey houses, four part single storey and part two-storey five-bed detached houses and two single storey four-bed detached houses). Location: Lamb Doyles, Blackglen Road, Sandyford, Dublin 18. Proposed development: demolish all structures on site for a mixed-use scheme of 41 apartments (29 two-beds and 12 three-beds), two retail units, a pub, lounge and restaurant in three blocks from three to five storeys. Location: Clay Farm, Kilgobbin Road, Ballyogan, Dublin 18. Proposed development: 10- year permission for 714 dwellings in zones A, B, C and D comprising 458 one, two and three-bed apartments in blocks of five to six storeys, 174 two and three-bed four-storey duplexes, 82 three and four-bed two and three-storey terraced houses, 1,012 surface and basement car-parking spaces and 910 bicycle spaces, a two-storey local centre with a crèche, offices and retail. Location: former Premier Dairies, Whitehall Road, off Nutgrove Avenue, Churchtown, Dublin 14. Proposed development: 62 houses (44 four-bed and 18 three-bed terraced houses of two to three storeys with 124 surface car-parking spaces), 204 apartments (117 two-beds and 87 one-beds) in three blocks of three to five storeys with 306 underground car-parking spaces and 10 surface car-parking spaces and associated site works. Location: Ground and Dwellings Ards & Cartref, Old Bray Road, Cabinteely, Dublin 18. Proposed development: demolish houses and outhouses for 77 apartments and duplexes in three five-storey blocks around landscaped gardens with underground parking for 126 cars and surface parking for 13 cars. SOUTH DUBLIN

Location: Charleville House (protected structure), Firhouse Road, Templeogue, Dublin 16. Proposed development: four five-bed houses and site works including new entrance off the proposed Knocklyon Road and relocation of Charleville House entrance pillars from Firhouse Road entrance to the entrance to the gardens. DECISION TO REFUSE

Location: site south-west of Old Mill Pub, Old Bawn, Tallaght, Dublin 24. Proposed development: cede around three hectares fronting to Kiltipper Road to South Dublin County Council for future development of a public park. Residential scheme of 40 units in six blocks from one to three storeys with 42 car-parking spaces at basement level and 20 spaces at surface level. Two-storey building in the car-park of the Old Mill pub to consist of two restaurants at ground floor level with terraces facing the new park and office spaces at first floor level and the replacement of parking spaces lost to the new building. DUBLIN CITY COUNCIL

APPLICATIONS

Location: on a site of 0.65 hectares formerly Pat O'Donnell & Co premises at Richmond Avenue including 18 and 20 Richmond Avenue, Fairview, Dublin 3. Proposed development: demolish buildings for a mixed-use residential / retail scheme of 121 apartments, four retail units, community room, management company office, all in four blocks with 150 car-parking spaces. Location: The Inn in the Park, 174, 176, 178, 180 Harolds Cross Road, Dublin 6. Proposed development: demolish pub and two adjoining buildings for a three and four-storey building with pub, retail units, 19 apartments and 23 basement car-parking spaces and site works. Applicant: Malacca Inns Ltd.

Location: University Hall (Hatch Hall), Hatch Street Lower, Dublin 2. Proposed development: refurbish University Hall and change its use from residential/educational use to hotel. Demolish section of building at junction of Hatch Lane and Hatch Place. Internal alterations:remove internal partitions and screens, and add lift core. Replace section to be demolished at the junction of Hatch Lane and Hatch Place with a seven-storey hotel, interconnected with existing building. Two additional floors on the Hatch Lane four-storey elevation for hotel bedrooms. Three levels of basementbeneath part of the site to accommodate plant, administration, staff, kitchen, swimming pool and associated facilities. Total of 81 bedrooms in existing and new building and all site works. Applicant: Edward Holdings Ltd.

Location: site of around 0.24 hectares at Bonham Street and Island Street, Dublin 8, at the junction of Bonham Street and Island Street and with frontage on the south and east to Bonham Street and on the north to Island Street. Proposed development: 54 apartments, childcare facility, external play space at ground floor with community welfare, meeting and administration rooms at first floor, 40 basement car-parking spaces and 27 cycle spaces. The apartments are in four blocks around two shared landscaped gardens and are part four, five and seven-storey. Site and landscaping works. Applicant: The National Association of Building Co-0peratives Society Ltd (NABCO).

Location: Lords Walk, Phoenix Park, Dublin 8 (adjacent to the Polo Grounds). Proposed development: public car-parking for around 260 vehicles. Applicant: The Commissioners of Public Works.

Location: Aldborough House, bounded by Portland Row, Empress Place and Killarney Street, Dublin 1. Proposed development: redevelop site to a 40-bed day hospital facility. Conserve and restore three-storey house to accommodate 19 consultant suites with a four-storey glass lift to the north elevation. The southern wing of the main house to provide for ramped access to the annex which will accommodate a new physiotheraphy/diagnostics unit. The northern wing of the main house to accommodate ancillary services accessed from new double height glazed atrium which will connect to a proposed new three-storey medical building comprising of operating theatres, pre-op/post-op facilities, staff facilities, café, pharmacy and associated service facilities. Convert coach-house into a "minor injuries unit". Provision of 43 car-parking spaces, 13 bicycle parking and associated site works. Applicant: Aldborough Developments Ltd.

DECISION TO GRANT

Location: lands bounded by Mill Street (to the north), Sweeney's Terrace/Clarence Mangan Road (to the west), Warrenmount Lane (to the east) and the grounds of Warrenmount Convent (to the south), Dublin 8. Proposed development: mixed-use residential/retail/commercial scheme with 16 live-work units, 10 retail/commercial units, a crèche, the conversion of 10 Mill Street (protected structure) and former Mission Hall (both in ruins) along with a new adjoining structure into a micro-brewery, a restaurant/café/bar and new office/commercial, 211 residential units in five blocks and two terraces with basement car-parking for 240 vehicles and 212 bicycle spaces, all associated site and landscaping works. Location: site bounded by River Road to the north, Royal Canal Towpath and Crescent Park to the south, Ashtown, Dublin 15. Proposed development: 351 dwellings (50 one-bed, 164 two-bed, 93 three-bed and 44 four/five-bed) in a range of three, four, five and six-storey buildings in a mix of houses, duplexes and apartment blocks with 506 car-parking spaces in the form of 231 spaces at basement level, 275 surface car-parking spaces and 271 bicycle parking spaces and associated site development works. Applicant: Castlethorn Construction Ltd.

DECISION TO REFUSE
