ABEY Developments, part of the Southern-based property group responsible for the Jervis Centre, has been granted outline planning for an office campus/call centre development on a three-acre site just off Belfast city centre. The developers envisage 11 separate office buildings ranging from 10,000 sq ft to 50,000 sq ft on the site of the former Boxmore factory on Durham Street, between the city centre and the Westlink Motorway. The new complex is to be known as Citylink Business Park and is being marketed by agents Lambert Smith Hampton.

The developers have been investing heavily in the North since selling on the Jervis Centre over two years ago. It was responsible for the successful Abbey National call centre in Laganside and, earlier this year, paid £9.5 million for the 45-acre former Michelin tyre factory site, at Mallusk, north of Belfast. It has recently lodged plans for a retail, showroom and office complex on part of the Mallusk site.
