Fast-food chain McDonald's will be the anchor tenant in The Plaza, a retail, office and residential development under construction at Swords, in north Co Dublin. The £20 million scheme also includes a multi-storey car-park. McDonald's will be paying around £100,000 per annum for a 5,000 sq ft store. The Irish Nationwide and ICS building societies have also booked some of the 28 outlets in the two-storey retail element of the scheme, where more than half the 47,000 sq ft of space is already committed. DTZ Sherry FitzGerald and Shane Redmond are joint letting agents for the remainder of the space, which is available £28 to £35 per sq ft. There are also 30,000 sq ft of offices, which is available at £12 to £16 per sq ft.
