This Hourglass dining table, about €457, is surrounded by Orb dining chairs pictured in a sherbet pink but available in a more mink-colour called antique bronze, about €285 from West Elm in the UK. Stig, a high-back carver in dusk pink, a sunset shade, also costing about €285 each, all ex-delivery, from made.com is another option.
Harvey Norman has a wide selection of affordable accessories and always styles its collections in a really covetable fashion. Here the team show just how much impact the right selection of scatter cushions can bring to the décor of a room. Choose from big blousy magenta-printed Rosea, €30 each, or touchy textural real Mongolian lamb, €55, in marshmallow pink. The Harriot chair costs €799 and the pure new wool Tweedmill throw costs €60.
New York-based firm Lumifer has a range of smart modern furniture and glittering lighting to match. Helix is a collection of orbs: this version features the palest of rose pink globes to give a soft, warm and altogether inviting glow to a bedroom and will make skin look warm and alive. Even unlit the bulbs add a smart but subtle interest to the room. This six-bulb design, 180cm long, costs about €5,104 but the design is customisable to any length.
The Alvar bed looks more like a sofa than a place to sleep, so will work really well in a guest room that needs to double as a study. Completely customisable and made by Italian firm Bonaldo, it comes in a huge range of removable fabric or leather covers including the tonal velvets shown here. Pictured here as a single bed, it can also be ordered as a double and prices start from €4,667 at Baldoyle-based Lomi Design.
This range of mouth-blown glass vases with elegant brass detailing is by Danish company Nordal. Dublin-based online shop Home-Lust stocks the smaller vases: the aubergine vase, 24cm by 16cm, is €35 and the small bottles, pictured in smoke and clear but also available in purple and blue, cost €15 each. The larger vases, 18cm by 18cm and 18cm by 23cm, can be ordered from UK-based website Bell & Blue and cost, respectively, about €34.50 and €39.90 ex-delivery.
You can inject colour through soft furnishings like this Hello Sonia rug by CC Tapis, 2.3m by 3m, €3,820 and the super-textured wall hanging, €1,353, designed by Studiopepe for the rug company and shown at this year's Milan furniture fair. The baby pink chairs are by Gio Ponti for Molteni&C and cost €3,800 each. All are available to order from Lost Weekend, in Dún Laoghaire.
Sometimes one pink chair is enough of a statement to make. This Ro design by Fritz Hansen at Reside costs €2,164 and works really well with the champagne pink of the Montreal floor lamp, €138, from Meadows & Byrne, as does the sheepskin underfoot, €69.95. The peppercorn pink on the walls is Alemandra from Dulux's Moda collection.
