Vacant: Henry Street shop near Arnotts for rent

LISNEY IS quoting a rent of €525,000 for the former Envy fashion shop at 4 Henry Street, Dublin 1, which became vacant in recent weeks.

The layout of the building, which is owned by Irish Life Investment Managers, provides for 170sq m (1,830sq ft) of retail space on the ground floor and another 185sq m (1,991sq ft) of space at basement level.

The upper floors are normally used as storage and office accommodation.

The building is available on a new lease and is opposite Debenhams and Zara, and close to Arnotts.

Although there are some elaborate plans to redevelop Arnotts and to create a “Northern Quarter” linking Henry Street and Moore Street with O’Connell Street, neither project is likely to proceed in the immediate future because of the economic slowdown and the ongoing domestic and international banking crisis.
