Junior One league champions Terenure forced Old Belvedere to a replay in last night's Metropolitan Cup final played at Donnybrook.
Unbeaten this season, Terenure kept their record intact when wing Paul Haycock scored under the posts with seven minutes to go.
David Lynagh's conversion took the match into extra time, but 20 minutes of additional play still failed to produce a winner.
With second row David Hughes dominant in the line-out, Old Belvedere were perhaps unlucky not to win in normal time. Tries in each half from Simon Keogh and Steve Tormey put Belvedere in a commanding position, but Terenure finished the stronger.
