Navan preview: Aidan O'Brien's main focus will be on Belmont Park and his five-strong team for the Breeders' Cup, but the champion trainer will still have an eye on Navan this afternoon where he runs the promising Mountain in a mile maiden.

This Montjeu colt found only Kalmez too good for him when making his debut over the course and distance earlier this month and looked one that would definitely improve for the experience. Mountain is clearly well regarded at Ballydoyle as he was one of five O'Brien-trained horses left in the Racing Post Trophy up to the final acceptance stage.

The second division of today's maiden looks a much less difficult task and Mountain should score under Seamus Heffernan.

The first division looks like it could be third time lucky for Dermot Weld's colt Marsam who found one too good on both his Curragh starts to date.

John Oxx is another with his eye on Belmont but a good day at the Curragh on Monday proved the home team is operating on all cylinders and Swiss Cottage can keep the run going in the mile and a quarter handicap.

Jim Gorman has had a frustrating year with plenty of placed horses but few winners.

However, the Curragh trainer struck at Fairyhouse on Saturday and Outfoxed could add to that in the five-furlong handicap.
